“Stop Elon Musk” Rally

May 10 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us to peacefully protest at Vancouver’s Tesla dealership.

Unvetted DOGE operatives hired by Musk are accessing our data, impounding funds allocated by Congress, and crippling federal agencies. This empowers the surveillance state and paves the way for billionaire tax cuts, deregulation and more.

We’ll march on the sidewalk/right of way outside the showroom, staying on public property. Bring a large sign to let everyone know we stand united against Musk, DOGE, and unelected oligarchs!

Park on the street or in the surrounding neighborhood.  Please park on the street, not in business parking lots.  Some nearby businesses are threatening to tow rally participants who park in their lots during the rallies.  Organizers are suggesting the following locations as the best places to park while attending the rallies:

  • Near the Goodwill thrift store on 65th Ave.
  • NE 72nd Ave./NE 33rd St./NE Auto Mall Dr. Loop east of Andresen
  • All of NE Auto Mall Dr.
  • NE 32nd St. west of Tesla, off 66th Ave.
  • NE Whitman Ave./NE Littler Way east on Fourth Plain and south on Whitman Ave.
  • NE 78th Ave.

A map showing these areas can be accessed through IGV’s private Facebook page.

PLEASE NOTE: We at Indivisible Greater Vancouver (IGV) strongly believe that peaceful, non-violent activism offers social movements the most power to effect change. Through peaceful protests, we set an example of making our voices heard with dignity, empowered by truth. IGV does not condone intimidation, threats, vandalism, interference with access to a business, or any other lawless actions. Many Tesla owners share progressive values and drive an EV for the reduced environmental impact. Some say they can’t afford another car. Let’s focus on Elon and not ramp up the anger that feeds our political divide.

If instigators or our opponents attempt to violate our commitment to non-violence, we will try to de-escalate and will call law enforcement if needed to shut down such unauthorized activity.

Be alert to attempts to disrupt our event or use violence. Watch for unusual driving nearby and alert others and police if you see anything unusual.

We know many of us have very strong feelings about issues and people at this time. If you feel that you may have difficulty remaining nonviolent, please do not attend.

This is a joint event with MoveOn-Clark County. Please register so we know how many people are coming.
