Camas Lodging Tax Advisory Committee Meeting

Purpose

Review proposed changes to the lodging tax rate, tax exemptions, and use of the tax. Tax proceeds may be used for tourism promotion, acquiring and operating tourism-related facilities, and other services authorized by state law.

Membership

One council member, up to two business representatives, hotel representatives (operated within the City), and a resident member to be appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council.

Terms & Residency Requirements

Four-year terms. Members must have been two-year residents of and registered voters in the City of Camas.

Meeting Details

• Meet annually (usually in early Spring) to discuss available funds and review applications. Committee award decisions are subject to council approval.
• ​This is a hybrid meeting. Attend remotely via Zoom or in person at City Hall, 616 NE 4th Avenue
